17 of the best late night eats on the Las Vegas Strip

Las Vegas at night

If you have traveled to Las Vegas before, then you know that it is a city that never sleeps. At all hours of the day, and night, there are people walking around with endless things going on. Many resorts, casinos, bars, nightclubs, and restaurants stay open late or never close.

I can tell you from personal experience that after a night out on the strip, sometimes you get a craving for a midnight meal. Whether it’s tacos, burgers, pizza, breakfast, or even lobster nachos, you can find it here. And, you can find it late at night.

As many already know, in recent years, restrictions have forced restaurants in Las Vegas to alter their hours or close. Restaurants that once operated 24 hours a day now don’t. While some have reverted back to their pre-pandemic hours, many have not. So, this list will not focus on the best 24 hour restaurants on the Las Vegas Strip but the best late night restaurants. While some restaurants on this list are open 24 hours a day, by late night I mean open past midnight. I also recommend calling restaurants before going to check if their hours have changed.

Planning a trip to Las Vegas? I recommend a guidebook such as Fodor's Las Vegas for the best places to visit and eat. The Unofficial Guide to Las Vegas is also great for finding hidden spots. These guides really help me make the most of my trips and I think they can help you too!

The Henry is a stylish late night eatery found on the first floor of the Boulevard Tower at the Cosmopolitan. Though upscale and hip, The Henry is casual and welcoming. No need to dress up here, unless you want to. The Henry offers an assortment of menus. This includes breakfast, lunch, brunch, and a late-night menu. On the menus, you will find an assortment of unique and colorful dishes. You can think of the food served here as elevated comfort food with a twist. Two popular dishes are the Signature Short Rib Benedict and Henry’s Big Brioche French Toast. I enjoy the Short Rib Benedict with its tender, melt-in-your-mouth short rib beef, rich potatoes, and buttery hollandaise sauce. Though open 24 hours in the past, The Henry currently opens at 10:00PM (Monday-Wednesday) or 11:00PM (Thursday-Sunday) and stays open all night until 2:00PM. So, if you are looking for an upscale yet casual late night spot, The Henry is a great choice.

This includes everything from burgers to fettuccini alfredo to empanadas. There are so many items on the menu that it would take me a lifetime to try them all. There is something for everyone. They also offer a variety of late night dishes served between 12:00AM and 6:00AM. If I’m in the mood for a burger or sandwich, I go for the Avocado-Chipotle Cheeseburger or Spicy Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. The burger, made with fresh avocado, fire-roasted peppers, and chipotle mayo is never a bad choice. Grand Lux Cafe is also known for their signature chocolate molten cake and beignets. There is another Grand Lux Cafe located inside The Palazzo, but this location is open from 6:00AM to 12:00AM.

It’s the perfect place for a slice of pizza before your night begins or after a night out. While not so secret these days, Secret Pizza can be tough to find and easy to walk by with no sign. With some of the best pizza in Las Vegas, the trouble to find it is worth it. If you manage to find the entrance located on the third floor of the Cosmo, follow the record-lined hallway to the walk-up counter. It is here where you can order a ready to go hot slice, create your own slice with your choice of toppings, or order a whole pie. After getting your pizza, grab a spot at the standing only counter inside or outside at one of the tables in the Cosmopolitan lounge area.

Tacos El Gordo, founded in San Diego in 1998, is one of the best places in Las Vegas for tacos. Today, the small family owned business has three locations in the Las Vegas Valley. This includes a location across the street from Resorts World on the Las Vegas Strip. Tacos El Gordo is well known for their authentic Tijuana style tacos, handmade corn tortillas, and scratch made salsas and guacamole. On my visits to Tacos El Gordo, I always go for the Tacos de Adobada. These spicy pork tacos come with fresh sliced marinated pork, onions, cilantro, and a green salsa on a homemade corn tortilla. They are also known for their sopes, mulas, quesadillas, tostadas, and more. Whatever you order, it is sure to be delicious, especially late at night. While there are often lines to order, the wait is worth it.

The Cubano from Backstage Deli at the Luxor

Backstage Deli is a New York style deli located in the Luxor, across from the Luxor Theater. The deli is popular for its hearty, house made items and large portions served almost any hour of the day. This includes specialty sandwiches, burgers, dogs, wraps, salads, and breakfast items. After you order at the front, be sure to peak into the open kitchen where you will be able to watch the chefs at work. The sounds and smells from the grill will make you hungry. Though not traditional, I like to order The Cubano. This sandwich, made with roasted pork, carved ham, swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard on a soft hoagie roll, is massive. If you are looking for something to share, the homemade Onion Rings is a great option. The onion rings are hot, crispy, and fresh. You can’t go wrong with any of the sandwiches or anything else on the menu. With all plates prepared fresh to order, Backstage Deli stands out from the crowd.

Looking to try dim sum and other Asian dishes at 2AM on the Las Vegas Strip? And, without breaking the bank? No problem. You can have it at Noodle Asia, located not far from the Grand Lux Cafe at The Venetian. Noodle Asia, open daily until 3:00AM, is a casual and affordable restaurant serving an assortment of affordable Asian dishes including dim sum. For those who are wondering, dim sum is a variety of small Chinese dishes perfect for sharing. Other than dim sum, you will find appetizers, soups, rice dishes, noodles, and wok dishes on the menu. While there are many great options to choose from, I always order the Xiao Long Bao or XLB. These steamed soup dumplings with thin, chewy skins contain broth and meat such as pork. My favorite part of these dumplings is the rich, salty broth hidden inside. When you bite into each dumpling, it is an explosion of flavor. If you have never tried XLB before, Noodle Asia is the perfect place to give them a try. Another great place to try dim sum in Las Vegas is at Shanghai Taste.

The $6.99 Steak & Eggs Special at the Village Pub & Cafe
The $6.99 Steak & Eggs Special at the Village Pub & Cafe

While technically not located on the Las Vegas Strip, I couldn’t make a late night eats post without including the Village Pub & Cafe. This popular 24 hour restaurant is found inside Ellis Island, located east of the strip down Flamingo. In the past, the Village Pub & Cafe was known to locals and in-the-know foodies, but lately it seems everyone knows about their $6.99 Steak & Eggs Special. This special includes a steak cooked to your liking, two eggs any style, potatoes, and a choice of toast. While the price is cheap and the food simple, the steak is anything but. Each steak, cooked to order, is fresh with a perfect sear on the outside. This special is available daily from 11:00PM to 11:00AM. Be sure to ask your server for the special as you won’t find it on the menu.

8 – Istanbul Mediterranean

The Combo Pita Sandwich from Istanbul Mediterranean, Las Vegas, Nevada
The Combo Pita Sandwich from Istanbul Mediterranean

While Las Vegas isn’t known for their Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, it doesn’t mean you can’t find it. One of the best places to try Middle Eastern food on the Las Vegas Strip is at Istanbul Mediterranean. This food stall, located at the Grand Bazaar Shops in front of Bally’s, is popular for its 100% halal meats. The meats, marinated for days and seasoned with Turkish herbs and spices, are fresh. Though the stall is small, they offer many options. Take your pick of a sandwich, wrap, rice bowl, or fries bowl topped with your favorite meat and veggies. Meats include beef, lamb, chicken, or a mix of all. You also get to choose sauces such as tzatziki, tahini, red chili sauce, and a seasonal sauce. With generous portions of meat, fresh veggies, and homemade sauces, the stall has become a popular late night spot. And, since they are open until 5:00AM or 6:00AM, you can visit after a night out partying on the Las Vegas Strip.

Sin City B.L.T
Sin City B.L.T

The Peppermill Restaurant & Fireside Lounge is one of the most unique restaurants on the Las Vegas Strip. This iconic diner, located north of The Venetian near Resorts World, dates back to 1972. Its unique old school interior featuring mirrored ceilings, bright purple and blue upholstered booths, fake trees, and neon lights is worth the visit alone. It’s like stepping back in time. While there are expensive items on the menu, there are plenty of options under $20. This includes breakfast, sandwiches, burgers, steaks, soups, salads, and more. Portions are large and the food is hearty, so you will get your money’s worth. If you can’t decide what to order, I recommend the Sin City B.L.T served with applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado, an egg, and pesto.

Earl of Sandwich is one of the best spots in Las Vegas for a late night, carb heavy, warm sandwich that is both affordable and delicious. This deli-style sandwich spot, located inside Planet Hollywood, is well known for their artisan sandwiches, wraps, salads, and soups. Sandwiches are prepared fresh to order using high quality ingredients and soft bread. Unique sandwiches include the Holiday Turkey with cornbread stuffing, gravy, and cranberry sauce. And, The Full Montagu with roasted beef, two types of cheese, lettuce, and tomato. As for me, I go for the Chipotle Chicken Avocado with chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese, and avocado. Pizza Cake is a New York-style pizzeria opened by celebrity chef and Cake Boss star Buddy Valastro. The small pizzeria opened in 2020 at Harrah’s, right on the Las Vegs Strip. Inside you will find checkerboard floors, subway tiles, and family photos on the walls. Like in New York, you can walk up and order a fresh slice, right out of the red pizza oven. With the help of his father-in-law, it took Buddy V six months to create his perfect slice of New York-style pizza. The crust here is thin and chewy with a crispy, charred bottom. Scattered around the slice are oily cups of spicy and salty pepperoni that adds the perfect richness. Also rich and salty is the fresh mozzarella baked into the crust. Finishing off this slice is a sweet and tart sauce that covers the entire slice. You can taste each ingredient in every bite. It’s all about attention to detail with the New York slices at Pizza Cake.

What to order: Pepperoni Slice

America, located in New York-New York, is a 24 hour, no-frills diner that caters to a wide variety of customers. While their food won’t win any awards, their menu mixes affordability with quality. The menu features American favorites such as burgers, steak & eggs, chicken and waffles, and Eggs Benedict. They have it all including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even vegan options. On my visits, I usually order items from the breakfast menu or one of the sandwiches. One of my favorites is the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich. This sandwich, made with a buttermilk marinated chicken breast and served with crispy fries, is a classic. Don’t forget to check out the massive 90 foot by 20 foot map of the United States hanging in the large, open dining room. The map features many of America’s most iconic landmarks.

At Nacho Daddy, located at the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, you will find Mexican favorites such as enchiladas, tacos, burritos, and of course, nachos. While there are much better Mexican restaurants in Las Vegas, Nacho Daddy is always busy. You can expect there to be a wait for a table any hour of the day. What makes Nacho Daddy so popular is its wide selection of unique and gourmet nachos. No where else can you find so many choices. This includes traditional nachos such as the Fiesta Nacho to the more exotic Lobster & Crab Nacho. As for me, I enjoy the Enchilada Nacho with chicken, enchilada sauce, beans, jalapenos, sour cream, and avocado lime salsa. On the weekends, Nacho Daddy doesn’t close until 3:00AM, so you can get your nacho fix after a night out.

If you are looking for the largest slice on the Las Vegas Strip, you come to Pin-Up Pizza. This small pizzeria, located at Planet Hollywood, is popular for their New York-style slices. And, they are well known for the pin-up girls running the place behind the counter. The shop uses high quality ingredients including dough and pomodori pelati tomatoes flown in from Naples. Their Sorrento mozzarella comes from Buffalo, New York. While not cheap, the slices are worth it, especially for the size. The dough is thin, chewy, and airy while crispy and smoky on the bottom. The tomato sauce is sweet and bright, adding an intense flavor to each bite. Covering the slice is the perfect amount of crispy, tender, rich pepperoni along with a layer of salty, fresh mozzarella. You can taste all the fresh ingredients in each bite. While expensive, this is one of the best slices on the strip. After you get your slice, grab one of the spots on the glass-enclosed patio for great views of the Las Vegas Strip.

If you live in a state with an In-N-Out Burger, then you know that it is a great late night burger spot. And if you don’t, you can try it for yourself in Las Vegas. While you can find locations across the Las Vegas Valley, my favorite In-N-Out Burger location is at The LINQ Promenade. While you won’t find a drive-thru here, you will find the same great tasting burgers using fresh ingredients. I always go for their signature Double-Double. As the name implies, this burger includes two meat patties, two slices of cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, and sauce on a toasted bun. Order your burger “Animal Style” if you want pickles, chopped grilled onions, and an extra serving of In-N-Out’s secret sauce added to your Double-Double. As for me, I order my Double-Double with two types of onions, fresh and grilled, along with spicy chopped chilis.

The Double ShackBurger

Shake Shack is a fast casual chain of burger restaurants founded in New York City in 2004. Since opening, the chain has expanded to over 250 locations around the world. One of those locations can be found at the New York-New York Hotel. Their signature burger is the ShackBurger, available in a single or double version. This burger is prepared with a freshly ground 100% Angus beef patty, lettuce, tomato, and ShackSauce served on a fluffy and sweet potato roll. What makes this burger so delicious is its juicy patty which is seared to perfection until crispy and charred on the outside. Other than burgers, Shake Shack is well known for their shakes, crinkle cut fries, and chicken sandwiches. If you have never tried Shake Shack before, give it a try. It gives In-N-Out Burger a run for their money.

Love them or hate them, the final spot on my list of 17 of the best late night eats on the Las Vegas Strip goes to Chick-fil-A. This fast food restaurant, popular for its chicken sandwiches, has a walk up location outside Planet Hollywood. Though you won’t find the full Chick-fil-A menu here, you can still order classics such as the Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich. And, you can get all your favorite sauces. While you won’t find any tables to eat at, they do have a small counter with metal stools. While there are better late night spots, if you need something hot, fast, and cheap, then Chick-fil-A isn’t a bad choice. And like their other locations, they are not open on Sundays.
