Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar, located on the Las Vegas Strip at The LINQ, is celebrity chef Guy Fieri’s first restaurant in Las Vegas. Since opening in 2014, the flagship restaurant has gained popularity for its American comfort food with a ‘Flavortown’ twist.”
If you don’t know who Guy Fieri is, he’s a celebrity chef, restaurateur, and television personality best known for hosting Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.
He also operates other restaurants in Las Vegas, including Flavortown Sports Kitchen at Horseshoe, El Burro Borracho at Rio, and Chicken Guy! at Caesars Palace.
The restaurant has become popular for its menu of creative twists on American comfort food, featuring signature items like Trash Can Nachos, the Bacon Mac ‘n’ Cheese Burger, and other over-the-top dishes.
I’ve walked past Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar countless times walking down the Las Vegas Strip, but I finally decided to stop and try the food myself on my recent visit.
Interior
After waiting a few minutes in line, a friendly hostess led me into the restaurant. On the way to my table, I passed an open kitchen and a life-size cutout of Guy Fieri.
If you know Guy Fieri, you know he’s all about boldness and energy, and his restaurant’s décor matched that vibe perfectly.
The space was bright, with many lights, tall ceilings, and windows that let in natural light. A mix of wooden floors and tables, exposed pipes, subway tiles, and red leather booths gave it a cool, industrial feel.
The décor featured wooden accents throughout, including large wooden beams on the ceilings and walls. Raiders memorabilia added a local touch. Rock music played in the background. It was a bit loud but not annoying.
The dining room had booths, tables, and high-tops, so there was a comfortable spot for everyone.
In the center of the restaurant was a square-shaped bar with a few televisions and sleek industrial metal beer taps that fit perfectly with the décor. It was the perfect place to enjoy a cold beer.
While I did not sit on the patio during my visit, there was an expansive outdoor seating area facing parts of the Las Vegas Strip between Harrah’s and The LINQ, with views of Carnaval Court. Though it can be loud and boisterous, the people watching is hard to beat.
Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar Menu
Before I get into the menu at Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar, there’s one thing to remember: it’s a celebrity chef restaurant on the Las Vegas Strip, so the prices match the location.
But when some fast-food burgers nearby are $20, the prices here aren’t that bad, especially for the portion sizes.
The menu featured many unique items, most with a twist on American comfort food. There were multiple sections, each offering something for everyone.
The breakfast section included a breakfast burrito, a breakfast plate, and chilaquiles. There were also cocktails, such as a Bloody Mary and a Michelada.
For Shareables, they had the iconic Trash Can Nachos and Jalapeño Pig Poppers. As for chicken wings, they came in buffalo, sticky gochujang, and BBQ sauce.
If you wanted something lighter, there were three salads, though they were pretty pricey.
There were dishes like Cajun Chicken Alfredo, The Vegas Strip Steak, and American Royal Ribs for Big Eats. These options were the most expensive dishes on the menu.
The burger and sandwich options included the Bacon Mac ‘N’ Cheese Burger, the Prime Time Kobe Burger, and the Motley Que Pulled Pork.
For dessert, there were just two options: a cheesecake topped with potato chips, pretzels, and hot fudge, and The Big Brookie—a half-brownie, half-chocolate-chip cookie topped with ice cream.
Bacon Mac ‘N’ Cheese Burger
While there were many great burger options on the menu, I couldn’t pass up the chance to try the signature Bacon Mac ‘N’ Cheese Burger. Seven Magazine voted it the best burger in Las Vegas, and it even won the New York City Food and Wine Festival Burger Bash.
The burger had crispy applewood-smoked bacon, crunchy fried onion straws, creamy four-cheese mac ‘n’ cheese, LTOP (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle), SMC (super melty cheese), and donkey Sauce on a garlic-buttered brioche bun.
I asked for my burger medium rare, but the server told me that because it’s smashed, they’re all cooked to medium well. Even without any pink, it was still moist and juicy. The beef tasted fresh, probably ground in-house and not frozen.
While smashed, the patty still had a good thickness and a great sear, which added a smoky flavor.
What made this burger stand out was the layer of mac ‘n’ cheese on top of the patty. The noodles were tender, cooked past al dente, and topped with a rich cheese sauce called SMC (super melty cheese). The sauce combined Velveeta, provolone, cheddar, and smoked gouda.
Strangely, I didn’t notice the SMC. What stood out more was the slice of cheddar cheese melted over the patty and mac.
The bacon was rich and salty, with a smoky, umami flavor. It was tender yet slightly chewy. I also enjoyed the crispy fried onion straws, adding a crunchy texture and rich flavor.
Complementing the smoky beef, rich bacon, onion straws, and cheese was LTOP, or lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle. Each added color, texture, and freshness to the burger, especially the shredded lettuce, a favorite of mine in burgers.
Also mixed in was Donkey Sauce, their version of a burger sauce made with mayo, roasted garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. It had a creamy texture and a garlicky, tangy flavor.
The final component was the garlic-buttered brioche bun. It was soft, airy, and lightly toasted, with a rich buttery and garlicky spread into it. While messy, the burger had a perfect meat-to-bun ratio.
Fries
While not mentioned on the menu, served with the burger were various fries, including crinkle cuts, waffles, and potato wedges, along with a side of ketchup.
The fries were simple, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The seasoning had a smoky and sweet flavor. I tasted cumin, garlic, onion, paprika, and possibly a touch of sugar for sweetness.
My only complaint about the fries was that they weren’t hot when they arrived at my table. It felt like they had been sitting out for a while.
“Koreantown” Tacos
For something completely different, I went with the “Koreatown” Tacos. Each order included three tacos filled with marinated thin-cut ribeye, avocado-lime mash, kimchi, and pico de gallo, all served on corn tortillas.
My favorite part of these tacos was the thinly sliced beef. It was tender and had great texture, even though it was sliced thin. The meat had a rich, beefy flavor, while the marinade was bold with a mix of sweet, salty, and umami.
Topping the meat was kimchi, one of my favorite Korean foods. It was crunchy and tangy, with a slightly funky taste that complemented the richness of the beef.
Also complementing the beef and kimchi was an avocado-lime mash. It added a fresh, tangy flavor and a creamy texture that brought everything together.
Served on the side was a simple pico de gallo, sliced radish, and slices of lime.
While small and pricey, these tacos packed a lot of flavor into each bite. They are also some of my favorite tacos on the Las Vegas Strip.
Service
The restaurant was relatively quiet during my visit, though there was a small line out front of people waiting for tables. To the left of the entrance was the line for those without reservations, like me, and to the right was a line for people with reservations.
After a few minutes in line, I reached the front, where the hostess asked me if I wanted to sit at the bar, table, or on the patio. I decided to sit at a table.
Another worker guided me to a table and handed me a menu. After a few minutes, a friendly worker approached my table and took my order.
Surprisingly, my food arrived at the table in just about five minutes. I couldn’t believe how quickly the kitchen had prepared it.
For the next 30 minutes, my server didn’t return to my table to check in or see if I needed a drink refill. While I didn’t need anything, I found the lack of attention somewhat disappointing, especially with the prices they charge.
Other than that, I had no issues with service.
Conclusion
I enjoyed many things about my visit to Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar.
The Bacon Mac ‘N’ Cheese Burger was insane, loaded with mac’ n’ cheese, bacon, and four types of cheese. It was messy, delicious, and completely over-the-top. It was delicious and one of my favorite burgers on the Las Vegas Strip.
And the “Koreatown” Tacos, though small, were packed with so much flavor. The marinated meat, crunchy and funky kimchi, and creamy avocado-lime mash made each bite delicious.
That said, there were a few things I didn’t like.
First, the service could have been more attentive. My server, though friendly, was absent for 30 minutes. Next, while not a big issue, the fries could have been warmer.
Finally, the biggest issue I had was the prices. I get that Guy Fieri is a celebrity chef, and his restaurant is on the Las Vegas Strip, but $30 for a burger and $25 for a cocktail feels a little much.
If money weren’t an issue, I wouldn’t hesitate to return to Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar. However, with so many more affordable options on the Las Vegas Strip, I don’t see myself coming back anytime soon.
