With Love, Always: Smash Burgers in Northwest Las Vegas

With Love, Always in Las Vegas, Nevada

With Love, Always is a popular smash burger spot known for its high-quality smash burgers, wagyu tallow fries, and creamy soft-serve. Though located far from the Las Vegas Strip in Centennial Hills, this spot is so popular there’s almost always a line out front.

With Love, Always opened in October 2024, founded by Drew Belcher, the owner of Sorry, Not Sorry Creamery. He’s also behind unlokt, a digital creator on Instagram with nearly a million followers.

After seeing photos and videos on Instagram of the fresh-ground patties and wagyu tallow fries, I had to check it out. Social media can make food look better than it is, but this isn’t the case here.

Although it’s in northwest Las Vegas, social media and word of mouth have made it popular, so there’s usually a line. On my recent visit, I was in the area after hiking at Red Rock Canyon , so I decided to stop by and finally try their burgers.

Interior of With Love, Always

Interior of the restaurant

When I arrived at the restaurant on a cold Monday night, only one person was outside, with a few more waiting to order inside. I expected a long line, so I was glad there wasn’t much of a wait.

The interior was much smaller than I expected. Inside were only five tables—one larger table that could seat four and four smaller tables for two. The space felt cramped, with workers moving around and people waiting to order at the counter.

The interior felt modern and casual with a retro diner touch, highlighted by neon lights. Exposed pipes and concrete floors gave it an industrial feel, while wood panels and pendant lights added warmth and character.

Since the dining room was small, it felt loud even though there weren’t many people. The music in the background made it even noisier.

There was also a semi-open kitchen. I enjoyed peeking into the kitchen, where I was able to watch the chefs and cooks work the grill, smash patties, fry foods, and assemble orders.

While indoor seating was limited, the courtyard outside the restaurant had picnic-style tables. Trees provided shade in the summer, while propane heaters kept it warm on cold nights.

With Love, Always Menu

The With Love, Always menu was simple with burgers, fries, sides, desserts, and drinks.

As for burgers, there were three smash burger options made with two black Angus beef patties and served on a toasted Martin’s Potato Roll. The three were similar, but each had slight differences in toppings.

The Classic included American cheese, diced onions, pickles, and their signature Love Sauce. The All-American added ketchup and mustard, while the S.O.B. (Smashed Onion Burger) featured onion-smashed patties.

You could also add extras to your burger, like an extra beef patty, bacon, fresh jalapeños, and grilled onions. In addition, you could get Love Sauce, hot chilis, and pickles on the side.

For fries, you had Shoestring Fries and Loaded with Love Fries, which came topped with grilled onions, aged cheddar sauce, Love Sauce, and chopped pickles.

Dessert options included Soft Serve French Custard in chocolate, vanilla, or swirl.

As for drinks, there was soda, draft and canned beer, including some local craft options, and wine.

Classic Burger

Classic Burger

First up was the Classic Burger. It came with two Black Angus beef patties on a Martin’s Potato Roll, topped with American cheese, diced onions, pickles, and their signature Love Sauce.

The burger, served open-faced, looked amazing. I was hoping it tasted as great as it looked. And it did.

At With Love, Always, they grind their high-quality beef fresh daily. They season it simply with salt and pepper so the beef’s natural flavor comes through.

After being smashed, each patty had a moist center, while the caramelized edges added a rich, crispy bite. Even though the burger had two patties, they were so thin it felt like one larger patty.

A gooey slice of rich, salty American cheese melted into the meat, which is my cheese of choice for a smash burger.

Topping the burger was crunchy diced onions, thick salty pickles, and Love Sauce. The Love Sauce was tangy and slightly funky, with a peppery, mustardy flavor. I think the base was mayo and ketchup.

Finally, the Martin’s Potato Roll was soft and fluffy with a sweet, buttery flavor. Grilled on the inside, the bun held together until the last bite and never became soggy.

While simple, the Classic Burger was great and cooked to perfection. The salty, rich flavors, crispy yet tender textures, and high-quality beef make it one of my favorite burgers in Las Vegas.

S.O.B. Burger

Next was the S.O.B. Burger with two black Angus onion-smashed patties, American cheese, pickles, and Love Sauce on a Martin’s Potato Roll.

I was expecting this burger to be similar to the Classic Burger. And while it was, its flavor was completely different.

Like the Classic Burger, the patties were smashed on the grill until thin and crispy on the edges. But the big difference was that they added sliced onions to the beef before smashing it on the grill.

Adding onions changed both the texture and flavor of the patty. First, I got a strong onion flavor when I bit into the burger. While I enjoy onions, the flavor was so strong that it masked the taste of the beef. Second, the onions added a unique texture—stringy yet tender.

Besides the onions, this burger had the same salty, rich American cheese, salty, crunchy pickles, tangy Love sauce, and soft potato roll.

While I love onions, and there was nothing wrong with this burger, I preferred the beefy flavors of the Classic Burger.

Loaded with Love Fries

When I saw Loaded with Love Fries on the menu, I knew I had to order them. They were shoestring fries topped with grilled onions, aged cheddar sauce, Love Sauce, and chopped pickles.

The fries were simple and thin. Each was crispy on the outside while soft inside. They also tasted freshly cut.

Sweet, smoky grilled onions and a mix of aged cheddar sauce and Love Sauce covered the fries.

The aged cheddar sauce, which reminded me of nacho sauce, was creamy, salty, and rich. And I enjoyed the combination of cheddar sauce and Love Sauce.

My favorite part of the fries was the chopped pickles. They were salty, crunchy, and freshly cut in-house, adding a tangy flavor that complemented the sauces.

In the end, I enjoyed the flavors and textures of these fries. If you like Animal Style Fries from In-N-Out, you’ll probably enjoy these too.

Service at With Love, Always

As a fast-casual restaurant, I had limited interaction with the staff. I ordered with the cashier, found a table, and listened for my name when my food was ready.

Even with my limited interaction, I noticed that the workers in the front of the house and the kitchen were well-trained and working efficiently.

I even saw the owner walking around the dining room, checking on guests, delivering food, and making sure everything was running smoothly.

While there can be long lines, the efficient service ensures they move quickly.

Conclusion

Though With Love, Always opened a few months ago, it has gained a big following among locals, tourists, and foodies, even with its location off the Las Vegas Strip.

As a fan of smash burgers, when I first saw photos on Instagram, I knew I had to add it to my list of restaurants to try in Las Vegas.

There were only three burger options, but they were delicious as they used fresh-ground beef and high-quality ingredients. No matter what you order, it will be good.

And the prices were fair for the quality, especially when compared to other burger restaurants in Las Vegas. Therefore, I recommend With Love, Always if you want an excellent smash burger in Vegas.
